These Terms govern your use of cleanz.one ("the Service"), a habitability research atlas operated by the cleanz.one team ("we", "us"). By creating an account, accessing the platform, or using its data outputs, you agree to these Terms.
cleanz.one aggregates publicly available environmental and infrastructure datasets into a per-cell grid covering inhabited landmasses, with focus on the European Union plus a worldwide flight-density scan. Outputs include interactive maps, ranked tables, CSV exports, and per-cell source attribution.
You must provide a valid email and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms, are used for automated scraping outside API limits, or appear to share credentials across multiple parties beyond the seat count purchased.
cleanz.one offers three annual subscription plans and one time-limited pass, all billed in advance:
| Plan | Price | Eligibility |
|---|---|---|
| Individual | $99 / year | Any user — single account |
| Academic | $77 / year | Verified .edu or .ac email; individual research use only |
| Research Crew | $990 / year | Up to 10 named users on one subscription |
| 28-Day Pass | $29 one-time | Any user — full access for 28 days incl. 1,500 AI Search credits; non-refundable, no auto-renew |
Optional add-ons billed with a subscription: AI Search ($20 / year, 400 queries per month), AI Search for all Crew accounts ($200 / year per 10 seats), AI Search top-ups ($10 one-time or $100 / year), and the Bulk API tier ($750 / month, 150,000 requests per day).
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each annual period. You may disable auto-renew at any time from your account; access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. The 28-Day Pass does not renew; access ends automatically 28 days after purchase.
Academic accounts require a valid institutional email at sign-up (.edu or .ac domain). Academic pricing is for individual research use only; team or commercial use requires a Research Crew subscription.
Refund eligibility is described in the Refund Policy.
cleanz.one reports what its source datasets show. We make no guarantee that "no flights" cells are flight-free, that "no G-Tower" cells are EMF-free, that hardness or PM2.5 values correspond exactly to local measurements at any particular address, or that any cell is suitable for any specific purpose. The Service is a research instrument, not a relocation recommendation, real-estate appraisal, environmental safety certification, or medical advice.
Your subscription or API fee pays for access to our service — the aggregation,
grid, scoring, search, and delivery infrastructure. It does not transfer ownership
of any underlying dataset, and it does not grant you (or us) any licence to
third-party data beyond what each source's own licence allows. Every API response
and export carries a per-metric source field; your reuse rights in
each value are governed by that source's licence, which passes through to you
unchanged.
When you redistribute or publish cleanz.one outputs you agree to preserve these pass-through terms and attributions. If a use you plan is not permitted by a source's licence, permission must come from that source — not from us.
The cleanz.one codebase, design, branding, and aggregation methodology are our intellectual property. The underlying data remains the property of its respective sources. Outputs (maps, tables, API responses) may be used freely under attribution within the limits of section 4.
We aim for high availability but make no uptime guarantee. Source-dataset outages (OpenSky downtime, Open-Meteo throttling) are passed through transparently — affected metrics are flagged "stale" rather than silently fall back to old data.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, cleanz.one's total liability arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages including lost profits, lost opportunity, or relocation decisions made based on Service outputs.
Either party may terminate at any time. On termination, access ends and we delete your account data within 30 days (sooner on request). Data exports made before termination are yours to keep, subject to source-dataset licences.
We may update these Terms; material changes are notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union member state where the operating entity is registered. Disputes go to the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

cleanz.one respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what choices you have. We aim for the minimum that lets the Service function; we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
We set one essential session cookie after login. We do not use any non-essential cookies. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to beyond the session cookie, which is exempt under GDPR Recital 30.
Account and billing data are stored on Europe-based infrastructure. Backups are encrypted and retained for 30 days, then deleted. Source datasets we re-aggregate (OpenSky, OpenCelliD, etc.) are public and live on their own infrastructure — we only cache derived per-cell summaries.
We share data only with:
We never share with marketing partners, data brokers, or advertising networks.
The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Contact us if you believe we have inadvertently done so.
Material changes are emailed to all account holders at least 14 days before they take effect.
Privacy questions and data requests: raise them from your account page.
For data-protection matters, mark the message "DPO" — it routes to the Data Protection Officer.
